About Erling Blöndal Bengtsson
Erling Blöndal Bengtsson, the distinguished Danish cellist, left an indelible mark on the classical music world with his extraordinary talent and dedication. Born in Copenhagen in 1932, Bengtsson began his musical journey at the tender age of four, giving his first public performance. His prodigious talent led him to the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he studied under the legendary Gregor Piatigorsky and later served as his teaching assistant.
