Shigenori Kudo, a renowned Japanese flutist, has captivated audiences worldwide with his exceptional talent and artistry. Born in Sapporo, Japan, in 1954, Kudo began his musical journey at the age of 10 under the tutelage of the chief flutist of the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. His prowess on the flute was recognized early on, leading him to study at the prestigious Paris Conservatoire, where he graduated with top honors.

Kudo's international acclaim began when he won the 2nd Paris International Flute Competition at the young age of 23, catching the attention of the legendary flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal. He went on to win the 1st JP Rampal International Flute Competition in 1980, further solidifying his status as a virtuoso. Throughout his career, Kudo has performed in major cities across the globe, including Paris, London, Vienna, and Milan, enthralling audiences with his masterful performances.

Aside from his solo performances, Kudo has also made significant contributions to music education, serving as a special invited professor at Tokyo University of the Arts and a guest professor at Showa University of Music.
