The record features an international quintet of exceptional musicians, including Michel Portal on alto saxophone and bass clarinet, Barre Phillips on double bass, Stu Martin on drums, and Jean-Pierre Drouet on vibraphone.

Recorded under the Futura Marge / Atypeek Music label, "Alors!!!" was brought to life thanks to the initiative of bassist Barre Phillips, who was performing with Surman's trio at the renowned Parisian jazz club, Gill's.
