His musical journey began with studies in flute and percussion at the Tallinn Music School, followed by composition under the guidance of Jaan Rääts at the Tallinn Conservatory. Before fully committing to composition, Tüür was a founding member of the intellectual rock group In Spe, showcasing his versatility and innovative spirit.
