Bernhard Lang is a versatile Austrian composer and improviser whose work transcends traditional musical boundaries. Born in 1957, Lang's compositions draw from a rich tapestry of genres, including contemporary classical, 20th-century avant-garde, jazz, rock, punk, techno, and electronic music. His portfolio spans solo pieces, chamber music, large ensemble works, and orchestral compositions, as well as sound design for theatre, dance, film, and installations. Lang's innovative approach to repetition and difference is evident in his ongoing series 'Differenz/Wiederholung,' which has garnered international acclaim.
