Monica Huggett, a British conductor and virtuoso baroque violinist, has captivated audiences worldwide with her exceptional talent and deep commitment to historical performance practices. Born in London, Huggett's musical journey began at the tender age of six, and by sixteen, she was already studying at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music. Her introduction to the baroque violin under the tutelage of Sigiswald Kuijken set her on a path to becoming one of the foremost interpreters of baroque music today.

Throughout her career, Huggett has graced the stages of renowned musical organizations across the globe, from New York to Oregon and Ireland. She is the esteemed Artistic Director of the Irish Baroque Orchestra and the Portland Baroque Orchestra, where she has played a pivotal role in shaping the ensembles' distinctive sound and artistic vision.
