Maja Ratkje is a pioneering force in the contemporary avant-garde scene, renowned for her innovative compositions and captivating vocal performances. Hailing from Norway, Ratkje's work spans a diverse range of genres, including experimental, free jazz, and dark cabaret, making her a standout figure in the world of experimental music. Her musical journey began in the 1990s when she attended the Norwegian Academy of Music and co-founded the free improvisation quartet SPUNK. Ratkje's artistry extends beyond her vocals, as she also crafts electronic instruments to create her unique soundscapes.
