About Karel Ančerl
Karel Ančerl, born in 1908 in the small village of Tučapy, southern Bohemia, was a towering figure in 20th-century classical music, renowned for his profound interpretations and unwavering dedication to his craft. Despite facing immense personal tragedies, including the loss of his family in the Holocaust and enduring Nazi persecution, Ančerl's spirit remained unbroken.
