Ferdinando Faraò is a versatile Italian jazz drummer, composer, and educator, born in Rome in 1959. Hailing from a renowned family of jazz musicians, he is the brother of pianist Antonio Faraò and cousin of pianist Massimo Faraò. Faraò began his musical journey in 1979 at the legendary Capolinea in Milan, quickly becoming an active figure in the city's vibrant jazz scene. He graduated with honors in Jazz from the prestigious Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, further solidifying his expertise. Throughout his career, Faraò has collaborated with numerous artists and ensembles, showcasing his dynamic and innovative approach to music. His work is celebrated for its transversal vision, blending various musical influences into a cohesive and captivating sound.
