In his mid-twenties, Pleyel relocated to France, where he established a successful career as a composer, publisher, and piano maker. His innovative spirit led him to invent the miniature score and found the esteemed "Pleyel et Cie" company, which became the official piano manufacturer for the French king during the Restoration and the July Monarchy.
