Paul Clarvis is a renowned English percussionist known for his versatility and unique style across a wide range of musical genres. With a career spanning decades, he has collaborated with legendary artists such as Leonard Bernstein, Mick Jagger, Elvis Costello, and Elton John, showcasing his adaptability and mastery of various percussion instruments. Born in Enfield, Clarvis's musical journey began with free recorder lessons at school, leading him to play the cornet and join the Boys Brigade band. He is currently a Professor of Drum Set, Latin American, and Ethnic Percussion at The Royal Academy of Music, where he shares his extensive knowledge and passion for music with the next generation of musicians.
