    Evgeny Kissin, born in Moscow in 1971, is a virtuoso concert pianist and composer renowned for his profound interpretations of the Romantic era's masterpieces. Kissin's journey began at the tender age of two when he started playing and improvising on the piano by ear. His deep connection to the instrument was nurtured under the tutelage of Anna Kantor at the prestigious Gnessin State Musical College for Gifted Children. By his early teens, Kissin had already captivated international audiences with his prodigious talent, earning him a place among the greats of the Russian piano school.

    Kissin's repertoire is vast, but he is particularly celebrated for his renditions of works by Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Mussorgsky, and Beethoven.
