About KAYTRANADA

Kaytranada, born Louis Kevin Celestin in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is a globally acclaimed music producer, rapper, singer, and DJ who has carved out a unique space in the electronic and hip-hop scenes. Raised in Saint-Hubert near Montreal, Kaytranada's journey began with a series of mixtapes and remixes, including a viral unofficial remix of Janet Jackson's "If," which quickly gained him recognition. His debut album, 99.9%, released in 2016, was critically acclaimed and set the stage for his follow-up, Bubba, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Electronic Albums chart and earned him two Grammy Awards in 2020. Kaytranada's music is a vibrant blend of house, hip-hop, Haitian compas, and R&B, creating a sound that has been described as ushering in a new era of new jack swing.
