Adelina Oprean, born in 1955 in Deva, Romania, is a renowned violinist and educator whose musical journey began at the tender age of seven. Her early training at the Music School in Sibiu was nurtured by her father, an amateur violinist, and later honed under the tutelage of Stefan Gheorghiu at the Porumbescu Conservatory in Bucharest. Oprean's international career took off with further studies under Alberto Lysy, Yehudi Menuhin, and Sándor Végh, leading to a professorship at the Basel Academy of Music since 1985.
Oprean's performances have captivated audiences across Europe, the USA, South America, and Asia, showcasing her versatility and mastery of the violin.
