Alexander Goehr

Alexander Goehr, affectionately known as 'Sandy,' was a towering figure in the world of contemporary classical music, renowned both as a composer and an influential educator. Born into a distinguished Jewish musical family in Berlin in 1932, Goehr's life took a pivotal turn when he moved to England as an infant in 1933.
