Andris Dzenītis

Andris Dzenītis is a renowned Latvian composer, educator, and music advocate, celebrated as one of the most innovative and internationally acclaimed artists of his generation. Born in Riga in 1978, Dzenītis has made significant contributions to the music world through his diverse and multifaceted career. As a member of the Latvian Composers' Union since 2004, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of contemporary music, exploring advanced composition techniques, digitalization, and acoustic design. Dzenītis is also a dedicated educator, having taught at prestigious institutions such as the Jāzepa Mediņa Music School and the Ventspils Music School. Beyond his classical compositions, he is also known for founding the electronic music collective "Woodpecker Project," showcasing his versatility and innovative spirit.
