Anton Reicha

Anton Reicha, a Czech-born composer and music theorist, was a contemporary and close friend of Ludwig van Beethoven, with whom he shared a lifelong passion for music and intellectual pursuits. Born in Prague in 1770, Reicha's early life was marked by tragedy, but he found solace and guidance under the tutelage of his uncle, a renowned cellist and music director in Bavaria.
