Caroline Hobbs-Smith

Caroline Hobbs-Smith is a dynamic South African-born conductor and flautist, currently serving as the principal conductor for the Isis Chamber Orchestra. With a Master of Music degree from the Royal College of Music in London, specializing in flute, Caroline brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role. Known for her insightful workshops and commitment to youth music, she has been a key figure in the Oxford County Music Service and has significantly contributed to the development of young musicians. Beyond her conducting, Caroline has also authored musical works, including the popular "Flute Time Christmas: Piano Book."
