Christopher Hogwood was a renowned English conductor, harpsichordist, and musicologist, celebrated for his pioneering work in the field of early music. He was instrumental in founding the Academy of Ancient Music (AAM), an ensemble dedicated to performing and recording orchestral works using original instruments, a practice that revolutionized the early music scene.
