Fabio Biondi

Fabio Biondi, born in Palermo, Sicily, is a renowned Italian violinist and conductor celebrated for his mastery of Baroque and early music. Despite starting his musical journey at the age of 11, Biondi quickly rose to prominence, performing with the RAI Symphony Orchestra just a year later. He is the founder and artistic director of Europa Galante, a leading Italian period ensemble, and the artistic director of the Farnese Festival, an international celebration of ancient music. Biondi's deep cultural curiosity and pursuit of an unconstrained style have led him to explore and revive works by lesser-known composers, spanning three centuries of music. His performances and recordings, which span Baroque, Classical, and Romantic repertoires, have earned him numerous awards and accolades. With his 1768 Gennaro Gagliano violin, Biondi continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his interpretative freedom and vibrant musical imagination.
