Göran Söllscher

Göran Söllscher, born in 1955, is a Swedish virtuoso classical guitarist renowned for his extraordinary range and depth of musical interpretations. His career took off when he won the prestigious Concours International de Guitare in Paris at the age of 23, leading to a prolific recording career with Deutsche Grammophon and performances worldwide. Söllscher's repertoire spans from the intricate compositions of Bach, which he often arranges for the unique 11-string alto guitar, to the timeless melodies of the Beatles. He is not just a performer but also an educator, serving as a professor at the Malmö Academy of Music and the first Swede inducted into the Guitar Foundation of America's Hall of Fame. Söllscher's collaborations with leading orchestras and ensembles, along with his family trio featuring his children, showcase his versatility and enduring impact on the classical guitar scene.
