Guillaume Legrant

Guillaume Legrant was a pioneering French composer of the early Renaissance, renowned for his innovative approach to polyphony. Active across Flanders, Italy, and France, Legrant distinguished himself by being one of the first composers to differentiate between solo and multiple voices within the same piece. His compositions, which include chansons and mass movements, are notable for their distinctive chromatic style.
