Jehan Titelouze

Jehan Titelouze, born around 1563 in Saint-Omer and passing away in 1633 in Rouen, is celebrated as the father of French organ music. As an organist and composer, he made significant contributions to the early Baroque period. His 1623 collection, "Hymnes de l'église," is one of the earliest published works for organ in France, showcasing his skill in adapting various hymns. Titelouze's work is a cornerstone of French musical heritage, offering a rich tapestry of sounds that continue to inspire and captivate audiences today.
