Kim Sjøgren

Kim Sjøgren is a renowned Danish composer and violinist, born in Nakskov in 1955. His musical journey began at the tender age of three, and by twelve, he was already a student at the Royal Danish Academy. Sjøgren's prodigious talent was evident early on, as he became the youngest concertmaster of The Royal Danish Orchestra at just 22 years old. His studies took him to Boston, where he trained under the esteemed Joseph Silverstein, recommended by the legendary Isaac Stern. Throughout his career, Sjøgren has captivated audiences worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician, notably leading the Copenhagen String Trio. His discography spans various genres, including dansktop, and features collaborations with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Beyond his musical prowess, Sjøgren has also made a mark in film, contributing to the music department of notable Danish cinema.
