Kurt Schwertsik

Kurt Schwertsik, born in Vienna in 1935, is an Austrian composer and music educator known for his playful approach to music and his significant contributions to contemporary classical music. Studying at the Vienna Music Academy under Joseph Marx and Karl Schiske for composition, and under Gottfried Freiberg for horn, Schwertsik's works often reflect a lightheartedness that sets him apart.
