Louis Moholo-Moholo

Louis Moholo-Moholo, born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1940, is a pioneering figure in the international free jazz scene. With a career spanning over five decades, Moholo-Moholo has been a member of several seminal bands, including The Blue Notes, the Brotherhood of Breath, and Assagai. His dynamic drumming and leadership have made him a cornerstone of the genre, collaborating with legendary musicians such as Cecil Taylor.
