Masood Rana

Masood Rana, born on 9 June 1938 in Mirpur Khas, Sindh, was a celebrated Pakistani singer who left an indelible mark on the music industry with his soulful renditions in Urdu and Punjabi films. Starting his career on Radio Pakistan, Hyderabad, in 1955, he quickly rose to prominence and became one of the top male singers for over three decades. Known for his versatility, Masood Rana excelled in various genres, including ghazal and qawwali, captivating audiences with his emotive voice. Some of his notable hits include "Sonh Teri Roop Tera," "Haye Ni Khari Ho Ke Gal Sun Ga," and "Sadi Ajab Kahani Eh." Beyond his musical contributions, Masood Rana also showcased his talent as an actor in films like "Dushman" (1974), "Sajjan Kamla" (1975), and "Rangeelay Jasoos" (1989).
