The Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI), based in the picturesque city of Lugano, Switzerland, is a renowned ensemble that has been captivating audiences since its inception in 1935. Originally known as the Orchestra della Radiotelevisione svizzera di lingua italiana, the orchestra rebranded in 1991 and has since become a cornerstone of Switzerland's classical music scene. Comprising 41 dedicated musicians, OSI is one of the 14 professional orchestras in the country, known for its rich repertoire and collaborations with international musical luminaries.

Under the baton of its principal conductor, Markus Poschner, since 2015, the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana has distinguished itself on the European stage with its dynamic performances and innovative programming. The orchestra's main season features ten concerts between autumn and spring, showcasing some of the biggest names in classical music.
