Prof. B S Narang was a celebrated classical vocalist from North India, renowned for his versatility and deep-rooted dedication to traditional Punjabi music. Born into a musical family, Narang's first teacher was his father, Pt. Kessar Chand, and he later became a disciple of the Sham Chaurasi Gharana. His powerful renditions of ragas, such as Raga Sohini and Raga Darbari, captivated audiences and showcased his mastery of the art form. Narang's contributions to Indian classical music were immense, earning him accolades like the 'Best Classical Vocalist of the Year' at the CMSB National Awards in 2014.
