Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, Promit's educational pursuits have taken him across the globe, from earning a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Kantipur Engineering College to obtaining an LLM in Commercial Law from the prestigious University of Cambridge. His intellectual curiosity led him to Columbia University, where he completed his Ph.D. in 2020. Beyond his academic achievements, Promit has made significant strides in the business and legal sectors, serving as the Head of Business Investment and Trade at HM Treasury and completing a pupillage at Maitland, where he is developing a broad commercial chancery practice.
