Roland Pöntinen is a Swedish pianist and composer renowned for his insatiable musical appetite and stupendous technique. Born in Stockholm in 1963, Pöntinen's journey began with studies at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and further honed under the tutelage of renowned pianists like Menahem Pressler and György Sebök. His debut with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic at the age of 17 marked the start of an illustrious career that has seen him perform with major orchestras worldwide, from Europe to the United States and beyond.
