Sœur Marie Keyrouz

Sœur Marie Keyrouz is a Franco-Lebanese Maronite nun and cantatrice, born in 1963 in Deir el Ahmar, Lebanon. Renowned for her luminous voice and deep spiritual connection, she specializes in religious chant, particularly from the Middle Eastern tradition. Keyrouz is not just a performer but also a composer and mystic poet, revealing her imaginative and brilliant artistry. She founded the Ensemble de la Paix in 1984, using her music to transmit messages of peace and unity. Her work spans Gregorian and medieval chants, as well as Byzantine and Maronite traditions. Keyrouz's recordings, including CDs and DVDs, offer a profound journey through sacred music, making her a great figure in both Eastern and Western sacred chant.
