Sabir Mateen

Sabir Mateen is a pioneering figure in the avant-garde jazz scene, hailing from Philadelphia. Born in 1951, Mateen's musical journey began as a percussionist before transitioning to flute, and eventually mastering the tenor and alto saxophone, as well as the B♭ and alto clarinet.
