Sasha Johnson Manning

Sasha Johnson Manning is a British composer and soprano, born in Manchester in 1963. She graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in 1985, where she studied singing, cello, and piano. Since then, she has dedicated her life to music, both as a performer and a composer. Sasha's work is notable for its vocal focus, with a particular emphasis on choral music. One of her most celebrated works is "The Manchester Carols," a collaboration with Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, which reimagines the Christmas story through a collection of 12 carols. Sasha's compositions have been featured on BBC 4 and performed by BBC Orchestras and Choirs. With a career spanning over three decades, Sasha Johnson Manning continues to captivate audiences with her unique blend of musical talent and artistic vision.
