Simon Preston

Simon Preston was a renowned English organist, conductor, and composer, celebrated as one of the most influential church musicians of his time. Born Simon John Preston, he served as the Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey from 1981 to 1987, leaving an indelible mark on the choral and organ music scenes. Preston's career was marked by his exceptional talent both as a solo organist and as a choir master, inspiring generations of musicians. He began his musical journey as a chorister at King's College, Cambridge, and later became the Organ Scholar under the esteemed David Willcocks.
