Ullrich Böhme

Ullrich Böhme is a renowned German organist, celebrated for his profound connection to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Born in the Saxonian Vogtland region, Böhme's passion for the organ was ignited at the age of 13 when he began playing the Baroque organ in his hometown of Rothenkirchen. His illustrious career includes a 35-year tenure as the Thomasorganist at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where he succeeded in restoring and conceptualizing new organs, notably the Bach organ dedicated in 2000. Böhme's performances are marked by extraordinary precision and virtuosity, earning him international acclaim and numerous awards.
