Virginia Guidi

Virginia Guidi is a captivating mezzo-soprano and performer known for her versatility and boundary-pushing approach to vocal artistry. Born in Rome, Guidi has made a name for herself as an explorer of both classical and contemporary musical landscapes. Her elastic vocal range and dedication to experimental music have led her to collaborate with numerous composers on international premieres, including pieces dedicated specifically to her. As a member of the Duo Ferrandino-Guidi and the EVO Ensemble, Guidi has performed in themed concerts with a particular focus on music by female composers. She is also the artistic director of the Festival di musica classica Note tra i Calanchi di Bagnoregio and serves as a councilor at the Fondazione Isabella Scelsi and a member of Nuova Consonanza. Guidi's work is not confined to performance; she is also a writer and has conducted workshops on the unique qualities of the voice in contemporary music repertoire.
