About Mats Bergström
Mats Bergström is a renowned Swedish guitarist and composer, celebrated for his mastery of chamber music and his innovative approach to the guitar. Born in Gävle, Sweden, Bergström's musical journey began with a Master of Fine Arts from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, followed by post-graduate studies at the prestigious Juilliard School. His debut at London's Wigmore Hall in 1983 marked the start of a prolific career as a soloist, accompanist, and ensemble player.
Bergström's discography is extensive, featuring a diverse range of genres from minimalism to Swedish ballads. His 4-CD box set, containing 78 tracks, showcases his versatility and depth as an artist.
