Christina Pluhar

Christina Pluhar is a versatile and acclaimed musician, renowned for her mastery of the theorbo, harp, and lute, as well as her dynamic conducting skills. Born in Graz, Austria, Pluhar's journey into early music began after her classical guitar studies, leading her to the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. In 2000, she founded L'Arpeggiata, an innovative early music ensemble that blends Baroque repertoire with diverse musical traditions, creating a unique and captivating sound.

Under Pluhar's direction, L'Arpeggiata has gained international acclaim for its thematic performances and recordings, often featuring improvisations and collaborations with jazz musicians.
