Dubravka Tomšič Srebotnjak, born in 1940 in Dubrovnik, is a celebrated Slovenian pianist and music educator renowned for her extraordinary career spanning over seven decades. With more than 4000 performances in prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, she has established herself as one of the most successful pianists globally. Tomšič began her musical journey at the age of four, studying under Professor Zori Zarnik, and later became a distinguished professor herself. Her repertoire includes masterpieces by Chopin, Debussy, and Scarlatti, among others. In 2020, she celebrated her 80th birthday, 75 years of performing, and 60 years with the Slovenian Philharmonic, where she holds an honorary membership. Her extensive discography, including albums like "Chopin - Piano Classics" and "Scarlatti: Sonatas," showcases her virtuosity and deep connection to the classical piano tradition.
